Finding a resource for your property on earth2
To find a resource on your property, you will need to find a reliable resource website, such as:
Using Mindat as evidence of the resource
It may feel daunting to understand how to get these resources using the correct website, however, if you start from the most basic being the Mindat, it should be easier than you think, following the criteria required that you have the following within your claim description, the images providing the proof, and the links to the appropriate website, however, for best practises, getting everything in order, such as the coordinates, which we advice you check out first.
If you feel the property you own has the resource, visit the Mindat website by typing in the address of the mine for example 'Artana Mine mindat.org' on a search engineer such as Google and find the appropriate link to this resource on the Mindat website.
In the image to the right, you will see a typical search well searching for the Mindat website, showing a typical url.
There is other ways to provide evidence for a resource and you should find all the information by visit the Earth2 Resource Artical website article.
Using the latitude & longitude
Once you have found the resource, you will need to grab the coordinates, place these coordinates within the description and include images to the map with coordinates and a link to the page.
Just to the image, you will see that the coordinates are just below the image, and a red location mark is place in the map showing where the location of the resource is, which can then be matched up with the location of your property within earth2.
Checking the resource is within distance
Once you have found the resource with the appropriate information, placed this within the claim as explained above, you will need to make sure the claim is within 5 kilometers of the resource and show evidence that the resource is within this distance, include a clear explaination of how far the resource is and an image showing the distance.
New [Copied & Pasted*] from the earth2 website article on the 9th August 2023 within 24 hours of the change: Evidence that is considered valid will have factual, scientifically accurate information that exactly corresponds to the property location. FOR EXAMPLE: If your property is 5 kms away from a mine, you must provide evidence of the radius of the mine being 5 kms and your property falling under that radius*. Please refer to the website article E2PRV System Reopens for Silver and Copper Resource Claims.
You can visit Radius Maps and type in the closes address you can find.
On the radius maps, you can click on 'draw a circle, making sure the circle goes from the mine to where your property is located, and on this occasion, the circle was only 153m away making this circle small.
You will need to click on the 'radius km' and put in 5km to assist the CAT for the area they need to validate, for all future tiles being bought in this area and ask the CAT team to validate up to 5km of the area.
To assist the CAT, make sure you take images of your finding, as the CAT team may not have enough time in having to try and validate the resource for you, so it is always best to do as much as possible.
Checking the resource quantity
When stating the resource that you are claiming for on the property, it is important you state within the description the quantity of the resource, a link to where this information is, with an image to assist the CAT team, as it isn't there job to look for this information themselves.
To get the grade of the resource for example, on the right, you will need to check the grams per tonne sometimes shown as gr/t and in this case, the grams per tonne is 140.6gr/t. Further more, as there are 380 tonnes of silver, you can times 140.6 by 380 giving the actual amount of silver found, and in this case, it is 53,948 grams giving it a silver grade of 140.6 grams per tonne.
How to get the backing with staking
Hint: To claim your resource and get your claim staked ready for validation the quickest, it is always good to use a small property and ask that the CAT team to cover up to 5 km of the surrounding properties with the resource requested. If you have a 750 tile property, you could buy a 4 tile property next to it, and get this property verified, and have the surrounding properties be validated for the resource provided they fall within the distance of the resource.
A typical 4 tile property will only cost the backing of 12 essence, where you and 10 others will only need to put in 1.2 essence each, which isn't hardly anything, and I'm sure if you got 10 people collaborating with you, they should help you to get this property ready for verification through quicker, rather than waiting some time.
With a 100 tile property, you still only need 10 backers, however, them backers would need to spend about 30 essence each making is less likely you will get them properties backed.
With a 750 tile property, you will need at least 75 users staking 30 essence each, however, according to Shane in a tweet, once all the backed claims have been worked through, the claims not fully backed, should be worked on.
What if I just want the resource and don't want to go through the validation process?
If you're just looking for an easy way to get the resource, you can check other properties for the resource and buy next to them, providing you don't go outside the boundaries of the already validated tiles.
The validated tile may not be clear and have not been bought on the map just yet, so it is up to you to decide to take the risk and buy the tiles next to the property that has already been validated.
